What Does Safeguarding Mean to Us?
Safeguarding involves protecting children and vulnerable adults from harm within our programs and activities. This encompasses preventing exploitation and abuse, as well as mitigating any harm resulting from our failure to exercise reasonable care. Royal Care Foundation is dedicated to preventing and addressing any instances of sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment, whether they occur in the office, communities, or among research staff. This commitment also extends to broader forms of violence, such as bullying, psychological abuse, and physical violence.
Who Can Raise a Concern?
Safeguarding is a collective responsibility. Anyone associated with Royal Care Foundation—be it staff, partners, sub-grantees, volunteers, visitors, interns, vendors, or other contracted parties—can report concerns, suspicions, or incidents of actual or potential abuse or exploitation of vulnerable populations without fear of retribution.
